Itinerary

Cape Town
- 11:00 am: Have tea at the Castle (at own cost) with a Cape Town tour guide. The Castle is a bastion fort built in the 17th century.
- 11:15: Walk across the town viewing the historical buildings including the Town Hall, where President Nelson Mandela made his first speech as a free man in 1990.
- 12:00: Visit the Slave Lodge, named under the umbrella theme of, “From human wrongs to human rights”. Built in 1679, it is a South African Museum.
- 13:30: Have lunch (at own cost)
- 14:00: Explore Bo-Kaap. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, it is a colourfully-painted suburb.
- 15:30: Drink tea and have some sweet treats in a local home.
- 16h30: Head back to the hotel.

Know Before You Go

This Tour entails lots of walking so comfortable shoes is recommended. On foot is the best way to explore the city.

We visit the Cape Of Good Hope Castle which is the oldest building in South Africa built by the Dutch when they occupied the Cape in the 1600s.

We view all the historical buildings on the way as we make our way to the Slave Lodge and end off in the Bo-Kaap (old dutch word meaning upper Cape) where the slave ultimately settled after the emancipation of slavery.
