Join us on a virtual tour of Edinburgh's old town and explore the streets and the heartof the historic Royal Mile. Edinburgh was once a walled city and had a rich medieval past with many dark stories to tell. We will start our tour at the Mercat Cross, once the centre of a vibrant open-air market. It was also the place for public punishment in earlier days. Then, we will see the city chambers, which sits over an old medieval street called Mary Kings Close, which was used to house plague victims.
Next, we will head to the Law Courts to see its stunning neo-classical architecture and hear about the different laws and traditions Scotland still keeps. In front is an old statue of King Charles II, one of our great Stuart Kings who had a turbulent past. Continuing our stroll to the front of St. Giles Cathedral, we will discover a heart on the pavement where the old Tolbooth once stood. It is now called the Heart of Midlothian. After then, we will admire the architecture of St. Giles Cathedral and hear the history of this 900-year-old church.
On the next leg of our tour, we will take a walk from the Royal Mile to the Lawnmarket and discover an old tenement building from the 17th century called Gladstone's land. Looking up to Castlehill, we could see an impressive neo-gothic building, once the Highland Kirk. Then, we will go through one of the eerie tunnel lanes. These tiny streets and back courtyards are covered on either side of the Royal Mile from top to bottom. And learn how this make the layout of the old town of Edinburgh. Finally, we will end our tour with spectacular views of the New Town and the famous Princes Street.

This unique experience of Edinburgh's old town is full of dark history, gory stories and ghost tales, as well as informative and entertaining. We will tell you all you need to know about the historical capital of Scotland.
