Drive from Kathmandu towards the Kuri village from where you will hike towards Kalinchowk, a beautiful pilgrim destination with the famous Bhagwati Shrine on the hillside and picturesque views of mountain ranges. Visit the Dolakha Bhimsen Temple dedicated to God Bhim, which has great historical value and is worth visiting.

    • Drive from Kathmandu in a private car towards Bhimeshwar, formerly known as Charikot. From Bhimeshwar you will be escorted to Kuri in a jeep. 

    Have dinner and stay the night at the hotel in Kuri.

  • Day 2: Kuri - Kalinchowk - Dolakha Bhimsen expand_more

    • Wake up early in the morning to hike all the way to Kalinchowk, a famous pilgrimage destination for Nepalese people. Kalinchowk is a beautiful hillside (at an elevation of 3842m) located to the north of Kathmandu and near the Tibetan border.

    • Come down after the hike to have breakfast. Then, drive up to Bhimeshwar in a jeep.

    • Visit the Dolakha Bhimsen Temple, one of the most iconic Hindu shrines, by car and return to Bhimeshwar for lunch.

    • Return to Kathmandu in a private car.

  • Kalinchowk is a trekking trail for tourists and a famous pilgrimage destination for Nepalese people. 

  • From the past few years, Kalinchowk has focused on trekking routes for foreigners and local people from Dolakha district. Kalinchowk is easily accessible by roads; it is about 147 km from the Kathmandu valley. 

  • Kalinchowk is named from the Hindu Goddess (Kali) known as Kalinchowk Bhagwati. Rivers Sunkoshi (Gold River) and Tamakoshi (Copper River) also originate from here.
