Tackle this mountain landscape, which is considered to be one of the best journeys in the world, with eye-catching Himalayan views of the whole Khumbu region and a combination of cultural and ecological experience.

DAY 01

Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

  • Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), meet the tour representative.

  • Transfer to the hotel in a private car or a high-end tourist bus. 

  • After checking in, either explore this vibrant and exciting city on your own or take rest at the hotel.

DAY 02

Kathmandu Sightseeing tour

  • Sightsee this ancient city at around 8:30 am, after breakfast. A specialized Nepal tour guide and a comfortable private vehicle will be available for assistance. 

  • First, visit the biggest Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath, which predates to Lichhavi period.

  • Then, head to Boudha Nath, Swayambhu Nath, and shrines of Lord Buddha, uniquely built-in Stupa style architecture. 

  • Proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, testimonial of middle age architecture.

DAY 03

Fly from kathmandu to Lukla &Trek to Phakding (2610m)

  • Board a flight to Lukla (2810m), from TIA. 

  • Rejoice at the sight of splendid hills, rivers, and mountains during the 30 minutes long flight. 

  • On reaching Lukla airport, get introduced to the porters, and enjoy a hearty breakfast. 

  • After that, head north to Phakding (2620m). It is an easy 3-hour hike through the Dudhkoshi valley.

  • Head north from the airstrip to Chheplung (2700m) and cross the crystal clear Thado Koshi on a locally built suspension bridge. 

  • Past the bridge, witness Kusam Kanggru (6367m), which is one of the toughest mountains to conquer. 

  • Away from the Thado Koshi, the trail continues towards the Ghat (2590m) and you will cross a ridge marked with painted Mani stones. 

  • Carry on to reach the beautiful tribal village of Phakding for overnight stay.

DAY 04

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

  • Head to Namche Bazaar, celebrated village of Khumbu region. 

  • On the way to Namche, cross the winding Dudhkoshi River, 5 times on thrilling suspension bridges, covered with colourful Buddhist prayer flags. 

  • Then, continue your climb to Jorsale. From there, it’s a two and a half-hour ascent to Namche, with two major viewpoints on the way. If lucky, on a clear day, relish the hypnotic view of Everest. 

  • At Jorsale, enter Sagarmatha National park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you’ll be required to verify your permits. 

  • After 5-6 hours of tough hiking, reach Namche Bazaar, the leading economic hub of the region, also, the gateway to Everest.

DAY 05

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar

  • Adaptation to harsh geography and the high altitude is vital before further continuing the ascent to avoid altitude sickness and other unwelcomed illnesses. 

  • Go on a one day hike through the beautiful villages of Khunde and Khumjung. 

  • After getting back at Everest View Hotel, go to look at the giant skull of so-called mystical creature “Yeti”, in a monastery in the region. 

  • Savour delicacies at a bakery at world’s highest altitude. On a fairly clear day, one can view breathtaking view of peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam among others. The view of mountains from the Everest View Hotel is also commendable. 

  • After a nourishing breakfast at the hotel, endeavour an hour-long climb to the Syangboche airstrip (3790m), from where climbers will steadily ascend towards Khundu. On the way up, see centuries-old Chorten (stone Buddhist monuments). 

  • From there, move eastwards to Khumjung, the largest settlement in whole Khumbu region, at the lap of the holy peak of Khumbila. 

  • After savouring lunch at Khumjung, start the slow climb to Everest View Hotel, from where you can again enjoy the view of Himalayas.

  • Descend to Namche (3540m), a walk of 4/5 hours.

DAY 06

Trek to Dole. (4150m)

  • Now the trek enters above 4000m. A little climb to the ridge top out of Namche will grant a glorious view of Everest and Lhotse. From there, continue on the primary trail for some time. All through the trail, witness vendors selling Tibetan handwork. 

  • Experience the unique cretinism of Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhism. 

  • After arriving at the crossroad, which lies considerably high all above the Dudh Koshi, the trail is divided. 

  • The upward trail, which climbers will follow stretches to Mon La Pass. The downhill trail leads to Everest base camp. Follow the pass to reach Phortse.

  • At Phortse, roam and see the cultures at old monasteries, which have centuries soaked in them. 

  • Visit the local powerhouse, or even trek to Luri peak. 

  • The trail steeply goes through rhododendron jungles, and from there, head to the settlements of Tonga and Gyele (3,960m). 

  • After that, arrive at Dole. From here, have a spectacular view of Khumbila and Tawache (6,542m). 

  • Explore around Dole, and stay overnight.

DAY 07

Trek to Machhermo (4470 m)

  • Begin the trek with a steady climb along the valley. The air is now thinner, comparatively. The juniper forests now dominate the woods. 

  • While going up, one can see beautiful summer settlements and grazing land throughout. The sight of tall silver mountains will be a treat, no wonder. Superb views of Cho Oyu, it's neighbouring peaks Kantega and Thamserku will be a feast for your eyes. 

  • Arrive at Machermo (4,410m) by noon. 

  • Spend the rest of the day exploring Machermo (4,410m) and spend the night there.

DAY 08

Trek to Gokyo (4750m)

  • After breakfast, continue the trail over the ridge for exotic views. Majestic Cho Oyu stands tall, right in front of us. 

  • Below is the gorgeous view of Khantega gorge, innate. Beyond the edge, the valley extends as the trail goes side by side to Pangram at 4,390m. 

  • Descend to the riverside before climbing up to the fatal glacial deposit of the Ngozumpa glacier.

  • Now, after a slightly higher ascent, arrive at Gokyo for a night stay.

  • After lunch, visit and relish the sight of magnetic Fifth Lake and take pictures. 

  • Overnight stay in Gokyo Village.

DAY 09

Early morning to hike to Gokyo Ri 5360m for sunrise

  • Early in the morning, conquer 5463 m high Gokyo Ri from where one can view outstanding Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu among others. 

  • Hike to Fifth Lake from where the view of peaks is even better. 

  • Then, descend to Gokyo and spend another night at Gokyo.

DAY 10

Cross the Renju La pass trek down to Lungden (4350m)

  • Gently, go uphill over the lush grassy area. The slope progressively becomes steeper. Head for the top. The trek is quite complex as it is very steep. From the top, you can view the stunning panorama of Rolwaling, Tengi Ragi Tau Mountains, and small Rermo Pokhari Lake to the west and Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Gyachung Kang and Gokyo lakes to the east. 

  • Through Dudh Pokhari lakes, trek downhill through the beautiful meadow towards the Bhote Koshi Valley to continue beside the river. 

  • Luckily, you will come across yak caravans coming from Tibet heading towards Lungdeng. 

  • Spend the night at Lungdeng.

DAY 11

Trek down to Thame (3850m)

  • Hike to Thame, situated at 3800m. Here, visit the historic Thame monastery and experience spiritual Buddhist practices. 

  • Witness the lovely culture of Sherpa people at Thame. 

  • Spend the night here and enjoy much-needed rest for the downhill trek to Namche following day.

DAY 12

Trek down to Namche (3440m)

  • Continue trek down the Sherpa villages of Thame, leaving the mountains in the backdrop. 

  • Walk down to the village of Namche bazaar, epitome of Sherpa culture. 

  • Stay the night at a guest house in Namche.

DAY 13

Trek down to Lukla

  • Take around 7 hours long walk downhill from Namche to Lukla. On this day, your time at exotic Sagarmatha National Park will come to an end.

  • Take memorable walk down to Lukla.

DAY 14

Fly back to Kathmandu

  • Take an early morning air trip from Lukla to Kathmandu. Don’t forget to pick a seat on the right side, to see the insatiable mountains again. 

  • On reaching Kathmandu, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

DAY 15

Final transfer to airport for your flight back to home.

  • The day has come for you to leave this remarkable country. 

  • Transfer to the airport from where you’ll board a flight to your next destination.
