From the moment he picked me up at the hotel until he dropped me at the hotel, I enjoyed every moment with him. He has great knowledge of the country, on the culture, food, history, he knows everyone around... He is a great guide with a friendly and kind personality. He knows the best places, He does the best to help you out and show you around. I had a fantastic time, I can highly recommend him.

Born and raised in Bagan, Aung Zay knows every right spot for a picture, a meal or a sunset. Always smiling and willing to share his kwowledge, He made us enjoy the region in such a joyful way¡

Old Bagan was a notable highlight of our trip to Myanmar thanks to our local tour guide, Aung Zay (aungzayoldbagan@gmail.com). Born in Bagan and educated in Yangon, Aung Zay has excellent English and great familiarity not just with the attractions of Bagan but also with its residents and the daily life of the town. This was evident as our group of three fairly demanding sixty year old women friends, travelling together, packed a 24 hour itinerary that included Bagan at sunset, Bagan at sunrise, a fascinating visit to a monastery, a lacquer workshop, Ananda temple, and more. Aung Zay was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We could not have seen so much, let alone experienced so much, without him!

Bagan is a place that any person should include in the most wanted list. The outdoors temples and the Balloon ride are unforgettable.

We were quite fortunate to have a wonderful guide who made our two days stay worthy. I fully recommend his name to those who want to visit Bagan.

Aung Zay is fluent in English and very knowledgeable of the Bagan region.  He works hard and is always with a smile on his face.

Aung Zay is the best tour guide ever. He speaks perfect English, has a strong background of the historic site and culture, and knows exactly where and when (depending on the sun rays) to take beautiful pictures. During our visit to Bagan, he was not only our guide but also our companion, we had so much fun with him around. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to visit Myanmar, understand the culture and the lifestyle.

Found Aung Zay through the reviews on TripAdvisor. Senthim an email two days out from our trip starting, and next thing I knew he greetedus at Bagan airport, and took us for two days of sightseeing around Bagan and Mt Popa.

Aung Zay is very knowledgeable about the area and does his utmost to fulfil your requests. He was able to answer any question I asked. His English is really easy to understand, and I was really impressed that he could understand my accent(a lot of people I meet seem to have issues).

Aung Zay made our trip so easy and relaxing. He went above and beyond, even helped us organise a guide for our stay in Mandalay!

Although a few years have passed since our trip to Myanmar, we shall never forget Aung Zay and as soon as I read his name I knew who he was.

Aung Zay has been our guide in Bagan and he was remarkable in his attitude and in his professional behaviour.

We wish him best of luck.
