    • We begin our real-time experience of the 'Pearl of the Mediterranean' at the Cathedral of Saint Mary, the only Gothic cathedral next to the sea and home to the enormous rose window in the world. Circuiting through serpentining streets, we will reach the high part of the city and find several old palaces of traditional families and their characteristic charming courtyards.
    • En route to the Old University, admire buildings and churches and browse through pages of history to learn about monumental men of Mallorca whose names will always be remembered by the world. Your guide will introduce you to two distinguished personalities: Ramon Llull, the main occidental philosopher of the XIV century, and Saint Junipero Serra, priest founder of one of the most important cities of California, USA.
    • We will then visit the Main Square and the commercial street of Saint Michael, where James I, the conqueror, celebrated the first mass and expressed gratitude for his victory over the Muslims. Continue into the lower part of the city to observe the grand homes of the merchant families built in competition with the posh neighbourhoods of the high city.

Exploring the Cathedral of Saint Mary was Like Learning about the bible

As I stepped through the doors of the Cathedral of Saint Mary, I was immediately enveloped by a sense of majesty that seemed to transcend time itself. The towering Gothic spires reached towards the sky, casting long shadows that danced across the cobblestone floor. It was as if the very walls of the cathedral whispered tales of centuries gone by, stories of kings and knights, of triumphs and tragedies. Inside, the cathedral was a symphony of light and color. Sunlight streamed through the stained glass windows, painting the interior with vibrant hues of red, blue, and gold. Each window seemed to tell a different story, depicting scenes from the Bible and the lives of saints in intricate detail. As I wandered through the nave, I found myself drawn to the altars, each one adorned with exquisite carvings and adorned with flickering candles. The air was thick with the scent of incense, mingling with the soft strains of sacred music drifting from somewhere unseen. But perhaps the most breathtaking moment came when I stepped out onto the balconies overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean. From high above, I gazed out at the vast expanse of blue stretching to the horizon, the gentle waves lapping against the shore below. In that moment, I felt a profound sense of connection to the beauty of creation and a deep reverence for the centuries of history and faith that had shaped this sacred place.
