Visit Southeast Asia’s most laid-back capital that boasts of outstanding French colonial architecture and low-level buildings spread out in the city. Take in all the relaxed atmosphere and pristine nature as you visit Vang Xang, Wat Sisaket, Wat Prakeo, Patuxay Park etc.

DAY 01

Arrival - Vientiane capital city - tour

  • On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences.

  • After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.

  • En route to Lao’s national precious heritage, see the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa. You will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Park, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

DAY 02


  • We leave this wonderful town early for our journey northbound; we will see some breathtaking scenery en-route as we pass through spectacular countryside towards the mountainous region.

  • Along the way, we visit the busy and colorful 52 km market where various hill tribes come to trade goods and buy provisions.

  • Next stop of our trip is Vang Xang, famous for the archaeological site dating back the 11th century. We reach our final destination, the small and tranquil village of Vang Vieng, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism.

  • After checking into your hotel we take a wander to catch our first glimpse of this peaceful hill town by taking a walk on the wooden bridge over Namxong River for sunset and drinks.

DAY 03


  • After your breakfast at the hotel, explore the Water cave, located about 15 km away from Vangvieng. To do this we will be driven thereafter that have a short trek through the Lowlander tribe village of Phaxang.

  • Visit Hoy and Loup caves, before going into the Water cave by tubing experience into the cave (roughly 15-20mn).

  • After that, we return to where our local transportation stop. Continue to drive to where our Kayaking starts and then enjoy our Kayaking experience down the Namxong river.

  • Have fun with your kayaking until reaching the stopping point, then free time at your own leisure.

  • Dinner on your own.

DAY 04


  • After breakfast, we make our first stop to visit the famous Tham Jang cave, before leaving for the fabulous of Nam Ngum, a huge reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River.

  • On arrival at the lake, we embark on a long tail boat visiting fisherman villages in varied islets. We visit some beautiful islets and take a short walk to explore the lifestyle of the locals.

  • After lunch at the lakeside restaurant, we drive back to Vientiane. On the way, we make a stop to visit Ban Nabaw, which is famous for its salt extraction plant.

  • Arrive at Vientiane in the late afternoon.

  • After check-in, you will have free time at your own leisure.

DAY 05


  • Breakfast at your hotel, explore on your own until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
