Welcome to Luang Prabang, the spiritual capital of Laos! Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, our guide and driver will be waiting to provide transport to the hotel for check-in.
After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure until this evening your specialist guide will be taking you from the hotel in the late evening to participate “Baci” ceremony. It is an old tradition that has been carried on for over a thousand years. Today combined with Buddhism chanting, local people believe that human being belongs to 32 souls and whenever a person continue to be sick for many days however still not recovered, it means that some of the souls are missing. So this event is held to call a person’s soul back to their body. The details will be explained by the shaman and your guide will translate for you.
After the ceremony, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of your evening.

After breakfast at the hotel, transportation will be provided to the pier for the day’s Mekong cruise.
En route to the pier, stop for a brief visit to Wat Xieng Thong, one of the most famous temples in the city.
After boarding the boat, cruise up the Mekong River heading to the famous Pak Ou Caves. Locally called Tam Ting, the caves are filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of all different sizes. During the cruise out, take note of the fishermen and local villages along the way. For many in the region, the Mekong plays a crucial role in daily life, representing one of the only means of transport and commerce.
After visiting the caves, cruise back to the opposite side for lunch.
After lunch, head back.
En route, stop at the opposite side at a quiet remote village and do a soft hiking tour for one half and two hours. You also can hike up to Wat Chomphet where you can see the most fabulous view of Luang Prabang town.
Continue with a walk to your boat and take a short boat trip back to Luang Prabang and to your hotel.

For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from Luang Prabang residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Visit the former Royal Palace where the national museum today.
Continue to visit Wat Visoun, the holiest temple of the city.
Continue to Wat Aham followed by Wat That, where the ashes of King Sisavang Vong are interred inside the large central stupa.
Drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls, soaking in the rice fields, hills and small villages along the way.
Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfall, relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. For the adventurous, it is possible to walk to the top of the falls where stunning views await. Beautiful pools await at the base of the falls, which are perfect for swimming. Note: when bathing please be respectful, wear a sarong and be careful not to show too much skin.
There is an optional visit on the way back to the Bear Sanctuary run by Free The Bears Fund Inc. 23 Asiatic Black Bears live in the sanctuary, which was rescued from poaching. Another optional visit here is to the Kuang Si Butterfly Park, home to hundreds of Laos’s butterflies! (Note: closed on Tuesday)
Return to Luang Prabang in time to climb the 328 stairs to the summit of Mt. Phousi for an amazing panoramic sunset.
Afterwards, feel free to explore the nearby evening hill tribe market before returning to the hotel at Luang Prabang.

Climate: Laos is 2 season country wet and dry season, Wet start between May – October and Dry start in between November – April. The wet season is green beautiful but less convenient for travel overland across the city to city due to landslide issued, but recommend travel by flight. The dry season is the best time for travel but nature is gray because dry also temperature common drop to 12 – 15 degree cuicis at night and 18 – 25 during the day.
Mobile phone & internet: 3G & 4G and SIM card is widely available but separately between the SIM card and Internet SIM Card, to make a phone call within country 850Kip/MN, international call 2.000kip/MN, Internet Data connection & Wifi only available in the city and hotel.
Shipping: Laos post office provides several options for shipping service include sea ship and airship but we recommend to use airship it is taking for 14 days to any international destination by DHL.
Visa: Most Visitors can obtain Lao visa on arrival at all international door or check in point include border and airport, visa valid for 30 days. Visa also possible to obtain at any Laotian embassy in your and foreign country, your passport must be valid for six months prior return date and 2 color passport photo required.
Clothing & What to pack: comfortable, casual, lightweight clothing in the natural fabric is more suitable for traveling to Laos. Bring warm clothing during the cold season as mention the above months, if visit the northern Laos dress modestly not wear shorts, miniskirts, tank top and any fashion showing chest when you enter to the national visiting sight include temple and national museum otherwise you need to pay some cash to rent and dress up before entering to this sightseeing.
Cuisine: Lao food mixed spy or hot, fresh strong flavors and variety of vegetable into exotic cuisine, Laap is finely chopped meat such as fish, chicken, pork or beef mixed with minced, spring onion, garlic, over ten kinds of ingredient and herbs it is claimed to be the national dish.
Water: tap water only for wash and use not for drink, always drink the bottled water which provided in your room by the hotel and during the tour by the guide, driver.
Health: travelers should be inoculated against typhoid, cholera, hepatitis, A & B, tetanus and polio. Malaria and dengue fever are presently decreased in Laos but it is advisable to take precautions. Ti is essential to have good medical insurance that covers the cost of an evacuation flight.
