Almaty Same Day Tour
- Meet the tour guide near the Green Market (Bazaar) main entrance (51 Zhibek Zholy street, corner of Dostyk street).
- Walk to Panfilov Park (about 200 - 300 meters). It is an urban park dedicated to 28 WW2 soldiers - heroes from Almaty, which contains Zenkov Cathedral, the second tallest wooden building in the world built without nails. Take a short walk there and look at the Zenkov Cathedral.
- Go to Medeu (by taxi or bus), climb up the stairs to the dam (optional) and go ice skating (ice skating option is regularly available only during the Winter).
- Catch a cable car or an eco microbus shuttle to Shymbulak. Here you can go skiing. (Please let me know in advance if you would like to, the season is also in the Winter).
- Visit Kok-Tobe Park on the way back to the city center. It is achievable by bus (cheaper and longer), or by cable car (more expensive and faster). It is an amusement park near the same name TV tower on top of Kok-Tobe Mountain with a Ferris wheel and the Beatles sculpture.
