DAY 01

Arrival Day & City Sightseeing | Reykjavik

  • Welcome to Reykjavik! A Flybus shuttle bus ticket is included in the tour package to transfer you from Keflavik airport to your hotel without worries. Reykjavik is a clean city with a lot to explore. 

  • Discover the city freely with an experienced local guide.

DAY 02

City Walk | Ilulissat

  • Fly with Air Iceland Connect from Reykjavik to Ilulissat, your adventure begins as the aircraft flies in low altitude over the Inland Ice Cap in preparation to land in Ilulissat! 

  • Get picked up by the Arctic Adventure tour guide from the airport and drive to Hotel Arctic. 

  • After check-in, join an informative welcome meeting and a guided city walk in Ilulissat. During the 1.5-hour sightseeing walk, you will see the old town, ancient buildings, the fishing harbour and more.

  • Move back to the hotel, a 2-course dinner will be served at Hotel Arctic to ease the tiredness and prepare yourself for new adventures!

DAY 03

Sermermiut, Ice fjord, Dog sledding & Snowshoeing | Ilulissat

  • Explore Ilulissat on your own and learn more about the icebergs and snow-covered Ilulissat. Having already witnessed the gigantic icebergs through your hotel windows or during the city walk yesterday. get even closer to them in the 'Town of Icebergs'.

DAY 04

Ice Fishing & Night Sky | Ilulissat

  • After breakfast at the hotel, you can opt to walk around in the town or perhaps just lounge at the hotel watching the icebergs slowly floating by.

DAY 05

Kaffemik & Goodbye Ilulissat | Ilulissat

  • Say goodbye to charming Ilulissat and fly back to Reykjavik around lunchtime. Before the guide drives you to the airport, you may want to experience local life in Greenland. 

  • Upon arrival at Reykjavik Domestic Airport, transfer to Hotel Reykjavik Centrum in a private car with a local guide. Take rest and prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure.

DAY 06

Golden Circle or South Iceland | Reykjavik

  • Explore Reykjavik on your own or join one of our classic tours to explore the capital region.

Departure day & Goodbye Reykjavik

  • Say goodbye to the North Atlantic. The guides will provide you with a Flybus ticket to ensure your transfer from the hotel to Keflavik Airport. Please inform the hotel reception about your flight schedule the night before departure to reserve a seat on the correct Flybus departure.

  • The Traveler must possess a valid passport that is valid for at least a further six months following the end of the tour, as well as the documents necessary for the performance of the tour, including visa and certificate of required vaccinations. It is the traveler’s own duty to investigate and seek to obtain visa and entry permit conditions. The local tour operator can’t be held liable if travelers are rejected upon entry due to lack of visa or entry permit.

  • Greenland is not a member of Schengen but is only embraced by the Schengen Information System. This means that a Schengen visa does not provide entry to Greenland. When applying for a Danish visa, persons from countries that require a visa must therefore clearly state that the visa must also be valid for Greenland.

  • EU citizens’ national ID cards cannot be used as identification on entry to Greenland. These citizens must have their passport with them. Scandinavian citizens do not need to have their passport with them. However, they must bring photo ID pursuant to flight security rules. Refer to the Danish Immigration Service’s, where you can find more detailed information concerning countries that require a visa, visa rules, etc.

  • Ways to reach Greenland: You must fly from either Denmark or Iceland. There are no flights from North America or elsewhere in Europe at this stage. Air Greenland and Air Iceland Connect are the two flights that take you to Greenland.
