Enter the natural habitat of wild animals around Kangerlussuaq situated at the bottom of a fjord and surrounded by mountains and the Inland Ice Cap. Travelling in a 4WD into the backcountry, observe musk oxen roaming freely, bulls wandering singly or in a group, and the reindeer staring curiously at you with their captivating eyes.
A classic dog sledding trip when visiting the Arctic
Get picked up from Hotel Kangerlussuaq and set out towards the departure point.
Hop in the 4WD and spot Arctic hares, Polar foxes, and different species of birds. Take a closer look at the tundra’s vegetation and flora alongside the road, as they are an essential part of the animals’ survival in the Arctic. A pair of binoculars provided by the tour guide will ensure you get a clear view, but we also recommend you bring zoom lenses for your camera.
During the safari, take breaks to enjoy the clear air, peaceful environment, and distant horizon with the impressive Ice Cap!
