DAY 01

ilulissat tour

  • Get picked up by your Arctic Adventure guide from Hotel Arctic and drive to the backcountry of Ilulissat.

  • Walk towards the seashore, and observe the icebergs slowly floating towards the sea from a great viewing spot.

  • During the excursion, start at Old Heliport, walk on the wooden track around Sermermiut, and explore the wild nature and Icefjord by hiking on an uneven rocky path.

  • Make a stop at Kællinge Kløften to have light refreshments, if time and weather allow. With the splendid Disko Bay ahead of you, the vast ground under your feet, and icebergs conquering most of your eyesight, you can really feel the power of nature with all your senses.

  • Take a stroll through the sledge dog area either in the beginning or end of the journey.

  • Observe the ancient ruins and discover evidence of ancient Inuit settlements. Your Ilulissat tour guide will tell you the history of Inuit people, their ancestors, and traditions.

  • Stop for photographs and enjoy the impressive views. The duration is around 2 hours. However, it may vary based on weather conditions, conditions of participants, and duration of picture times.

These citizens must have their passport with them.
