I booked Mohamed Zaki through TourHQ but on the morning of the tour his colleague Mohamed Ahmed showed up, leaving me no choice but to continue with his colleague. He was fine but not the person I researched and was expecting. Bait and switch. Buyer beware!

I did about 8 day tour of Cairo and Luxor with Mohamed and I had an incredibe time! Mohamed is a very knowledgeable guide and I learnt so much about the Egyptian civilization from him! Being an academic in the field of Humanities, I was looking to develop a deeper and comprehensive understanding about the history and culture of Egypt. The tours that Mohamed offered greatly exceeded the knowledge that I had hoped to gain about Egypt! Mohamed presents information in a very systematic fashion and also in an objective way. Whenever I had questions about different facets of Egypt's monuments, religion, and history, Mohamed was always able to answer them in a way that satisfied my curiosity. 

Mohamed is also very cordial and friendly. Even outside of the deignated tour days, when I was on my own, he continued to provide assistance to me for my travel-related needs. Overall, the tours with Mohamed were very enjoyable and constructive experience for me!

I returned last week from a trip to Egypt and was guided by Mohamed Zaki and the trip was fabulous! Hee is an amazing egyptologist that has a wealth of knowledge which he explains patiently. I was traveling with my husband and two boys (one of whom has special needs) and Mohamad was incredible with all of us. He speaks perfect English, relayed interesting information on the sites, booked amazing hotels and a cruise and took care of all transfers. We felt perfectly safe the entire time and we all felt it was a trip of a lifetime because we had Mohamed as our guide.
