Fayeq is a big, jolly, charismatic guy who imparted his extensive knowledge of Algerian history and culture to us in a thoroughly delightful manner.  He made friends wherever we stopped (gas stations, artisans, museums, restaurants, markets) and as a result we had the opportunity to have lots of social interactions with the locals.  Although we thought this would be our one and only trip to Algeria, we had such a good time with him that we're planning another one next winter.

We had a wondergful tour through Ouirane Travel and Tours to Tipaza, Timgad and Djemila. Mr. Fayeq was keeping us informed all the time and appointed a very experienced driver, mr. Nour Eldin Belmsili.

At Timgad and Djemila we had English guides and the guide at Timgad require special recognition for his knowledge and enthuisiasm.

The communication during the travle of more or less 10 hours was a problem and I would say it is a missed opportunity to learn more about the country and country side.
