We spent a week for our Honeymoon in Sri Lanka end of November with Esala as our driver for the entire trip. We can highly recommend him if you are looking for an experienced driver, who knows this beautiful country, the people & history.

Before we took our flight, we were already in contact with him over WhatsApp, so when we arrived we immediately felt in good hands. 

During our many drives, he shared his knowledge of the different places we passed through & the history of Sri Lanka. He gave amazing recommendations of places to eat and helped us decide which places to prioritise and visit (as we only had 7 days). As our itinerary was not fully fixed, he was very flexible. We would just decide the day before when we wanted to leave, where we wanted to take a stop etc.

We would recommend Esala to everyone who's travelling to Sri Lanka! We will definitely go back in the future to explore this beautiful country even more.

We have recently returned from the most amazing trip around Sri Lanka we booked through Trailfinders and worked out our own tour arrived at columbo airport to be met by our guide Esala. We spent the next 10 days touring round Sri Lanka everything was perfectly organised the hotels were amazing and Esala as a tour guide was very knowledgeable very friendly and approachable . He gave us lots of different ideas of different trips to do which all turned out to be amazing if you get the chance to do the river / village trip in Dambra then do it because it’s really good - That was something that we hadn’t organised and Esala organised for us.

Every day was organised - always on time and we had a comfortable journey all round the country.

It was quite a long trip so it was very dependent on having a good tour guide and driver and we were very lucky that we had a Esala  who was both. 

We finished our tour with five days at the beach at Bentota- A beautiful hotel and a beautiful resort. We had an amazing 16 day holiday everything works like clockwork the country is absolutely beautiful the people are very friendly and very kind and the food is amazing! 

Sri Lanka wasn't an easy country to manuever around with public transport. I've picked esala as my private tour guide and I've not regretted my decision. I've already planned my itinerary in advance but Esala knowledge in Sri Lanka can always offer more in terms of hidden gem, local food and attractions.
