Migen showed up early on our first day. He was lively engaging and had excellent command of English. He showed us several sites and places  not originally on our itinerary which was nice. Migen had a really good contact in Apolonia that gave an excellent talk on this hhistoriuc site. He knows a tremendous byrek place in Lushnje and a local fish restaurant that was better than any of the places I saw in Vlore or Saranda. Ask him about the radio station. He let us go when we did not need anything and was there for us when we did. Migen was able to straighten out an accomodation issue we had in Gjiorcaster. If you are from Texas you are in for a big treat as I have never meet anyone who loves it so much. Migen spent a month in Texas and has some really good stories to entertain on the rides between places. Migen driving was just fine no issues in a place where driving can be a bit of a challenge. I would not to hesitate to use Migen again.

It was real privlege to get to meet his famiy.

Myself and my 2 sons aged 15 & 11 were looking for a tour from Tirana to Himara visiting the main historical and cultural sights along with places of natural beauty and including plenty of swimming stops. Migen offered us all this and more and we are so grateful for all the time and effort he put into giving us the best experience of Albania. Migen is one of the most interesting people I have met and extremely kind hearted. He completely understood the need to personalise our tour so as to keep the boys interested and find fun things for them, not always an easy task! We couldn't have asked for, or expected to have such an educated, fun and adaptable guide. Migen is extremely knowledgeable he has spent many years exploring and learning about every aspect of his country.   When we visited Appolonia Migen arranged for his friend to give us a tour.  His friend happened to be the top archeoligist for the whole site. My boys will never forget that tour or what they learnt, they were so impressed to meet such an important archeoligist and it really was a special day.

I can't list all the little things that Migen did for us on our tour there were so many.  He was a fountain of knowledge  offering restaurant tips, off the beaten track places, magic tricks with my boys, knowing where to take the best photos, a constant smile and genuine kindness that turned our tour guide into our friend.  I asked my boy's about Migen, they told me they miss him and that they had the best time ever!

My boyfriend and I spent two weeks traveling with Migen through Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro and northern Greece in May 2016.  Migen turned what would be a good tour into a great vacation!  He consistently went above and beyond to make our big travel aspirations a reality.  For this we couldn't be more thankful!  

Migen worked hard each day to make sure that we had everything we needed and then some. He was always timely, knowledgeable, safe and flexible. His flexibility and desire to make us happy gave us the ability to add two additional countries (Montenegro and northern Greece) to our original itinerary. While this was not the norm for a preplanned itinerary it was one of the main reasons we had a fantastic trip. The fact that he understood that we had hired a private guide for the purpose of last minute changes should we choose was a huge asset.  We can't say thank you enough for his helpfulness and creative thinking.

Migen is a kind individual with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm about the places he tours.  In addition, if he isn't the expert to a particular place he has many friends and professional contacts; whether it was an archaeologist in Apollonia, owners of a hotel or contacting a museum to open their doors to allow for a private viewing, Migen made sure we had a first class experience to enjoy all of the unique sites, history and art.  

He was always smiling and working to ensure we had the best of everything. Migen goes out of his way to treat his guests like no other.  For example, there was a store in Gjirokastër that was closed when we were visiting and I had told Migen about it and the souvenir that I had seen in the window...guess what showed up in my mailbox a month after we returned home!  Migen started as our guide but ended as our Albanian friend. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to tour this beautiful region in Europe especially if you enjoy good coffees in fantastic locations along the way.
