Very nice night cycling tour through Bangkok

Reviewed May 22, 2014

I stumbled into Nok's brand new shop. She gives bicycle tours through Bangkok. They just got brand new Mountainbikes a view Days before I was there. I took the night tour and it was really nice. It's a little adventurous to ride a bike through Bangkok at night. But to go to the temples at night is awesome. A whole very different atmosphere. And Nok knows a lot bout the city and the history. So, I liked it a lot. Best of luck.

I went with a group of people and Nok was our guide. I have been to Bangkok many times before and was a bit wary about riding through Bangkok traffic to start with. Nok was excellent at leading us through the streets (places I had never been and would not have thought about going there myself). She was excellent at predicting what our concerns would be and giving advice on food and places. Nok's English was very clear and easy to understand. Her knowledge was outstanding - with an answer to each of our cultural questions. She was able to deal with the unexpected (an emergency dismount and bandaid cure!) But what made Nok special was the reaction we got from people in the street, on stalls, on the ferries and in the shops we passed. She seemed to know everyone and even the grumpy looking old people smiled and shouted a greeting at her and us as we passed. And Nok worked magic with the Bangkok traffic, 'parting the waves' and bringing out the consideration in even taxidrivers. I would definitely use Nok again on my next trip to Bangkok.

Great guide!

We signed up for this tour based on the great reviews here. We were a bit skeptical at first, due to the heat and the length of the trip, but it was a great day, and we were so glad we did it! Nok and her husband, were our private tour guides for the day, as we were the only two on this trip the day we took this tour! They were fabulous guides, and took care of all the details that are involved planning a day long trip like this. We met at the Grasshopper shop at 7:00 a.m. and were off on our adventure shortly thereafter. A bicycle trip to the train station, which includes a ferry across the river, where we luckily had the only rain of the day while we were on the train. After the hour long train ride, we strolled through the busy market and marveled, once again, at the items being sold along the street! We enjoyed the ride, the lunch, the scenery and the constant attention of our guides. On our return trip on the train, we were lucky to be in the last section where some food was thrown out on the tracks and we watched as the macaque monkeys came down from the trees to grab it! It allowed us to look at a slice of life in Thailand that one would miss by just visiting the palaces and the museums (which we also enjoyed!). Wholeheartedly recommend this for active people who enjoy seeing more than what's in your guidebook!
