Highly recommended

I only had one weekend in Kathmandu for sightseeing, before I had to attend a conference, but with the help of Manorath, I managed to see and learn so much about Kathmandu Valley and the fascinating Nepalese culture. Manorath is very knowledgeable (and passionate) about his country's history, culture and language, and I learned an incredible amount of things in a short span of time. We explored Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan (the three royal cities in Kathmandu Valley) and in the process I saw six UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The best thing about Manorath is that he is such good company –  it felt like I was sightseeing with a very knowledgeable friend. And, a bonus is that he happens to be a good photographer too... he very patiently took some photos of me at various sites. I can highly recommend Manorath and will definitely contact him again, should I be so lucky to visit Nepal again in the future.

Kathmandu visit

Reviewed May 8, 2017

My husband and I had a very memorable time in Kathmandu 3 years ago, thanks to Manorath who was our guide for a couple days. His friendliness and knowledge of this ancient city is beyond words. He spent hours and hours telling us the history of the buildings and temples. This city has one of the oldest histories on earth. It was an inisght we could not have gained on our own. Although many monuments have been damaged or destroyed during the earthquake, the local people have worked hard alongside international aid to rebuild or renovate these unique monuments.

If we ever have the chance to visit Nepal again,  I definietly will contact Manorath to guide us around not just Kathmandu, but other parts of Nepal. His knowledge is indispensable.
