Thanks for taking the time to write a review, Allan! It was great strolling along the bayou with you, both. Thank you, also, for mentioning the difficulties you had booking your tour. It is true that TourHQ's system is not easy to work with - I have been trying to communicate the problems with th More

e system to them and they just don't seem to want to understand. If TourHQ wants greater success they'll have to listen to the people with whom they do business - tour guides as well as their clients. Meanwhile, it was a great day - thank you again! Less

Fabulous Time (Again)!

We first met Randy when he led the tour of the French Quarter.  This year, we asked if he would do a special, private tour of the Faubourg Marigny district.  Once again, he didn't disappoint.  Some of his information was a review which greatly reinforced what we thought we already knew.  Other information was new.  In short, we love going with him and look forward to coming back next year.  Perhaps we should think about a tour of a cemetery or two!  Thank you for

Thanks, John!!! It was a great day. You know what I think would be fun would be a tour that includes a few cemeteries! There are many interesting people in many interesting places. Maybe we could think about that for next time. Thanks again!

WONDERFUL GUIDE, confusing TourHQ

Reviewed February 6, 2019

First of all, let me say that if I could award Randy Bibb 100 STARS  I would! His honors and awards are well deserved! He is entertaining and very friendly and explained Mardi Gras without focusing on making the tour a pub crawl (I don’t drink) or having a “blast” in some kind of party atmosphere. I learned so much from him and I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans and tour with him again.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!   * * * * * The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the TourHQ system was inconvenient and confusing. The fact that I could not communicate with Randy before booking the tour was a problem. I mistakenly entered in only the date of my arrival and not the entire length of my visit, which was my fault. Randy was not available on the date I entered in. And before we were able to finally communicate and fix a new date, I was spammed by a different TourHQ tour guide in New Orleans who tried to take my business away from the guide I had requested! I did not like that at all. TourHQ is a great resource for travelers but their system could be a whole lot easier. I hope giving 4 stars instead of 5 doesn’t count against Randy. He deserves more but TourHQ needs work.

Thank you Ima, for the great review. I enjoyed it, too and hope you'll come back soon. As for the TourHQ confusion, I have spoken with them repeatedly about their system. It's true, it's difficult and inconvenient. One of the problems is that they do not take into consideration that tours and More

tourism in the United States are handled differently than in other parts of the world. Rather than hiring a tour guide for your entire visit as you do in Europe, Asia and Africa, in the U.S. we tend to sell specific tours, such as a food tour or a ghost tour. The biggest problem with TourHQ is that they don't allow for communication between guest and guide until a proposal is made and often more information is needed before the proposal can actually be written up. I've discussed this with them and I guess they just don't get it. So, a word to guests who are reading this - if you submit a request for a tour, be patient; I'll get to you as quickly as I can. That said - thanks again, Ima, for a great afternoon! Less
