We are a group of 3 Australians and 1 American in India for business and took a side trip to Delhi/Agra for the weekend. On Saturday we drove out to Agra arriving in the late morning and met Farid there. He greeted us and we headed to the Taj Mahal to begin our adventure in Agra. Farid was an incredible guide! He made sure that we were safe and aware of what to expect throughout the day. During our visit to the Taj, Farid took pictures for us, told some incredible stories, and shared interesting facts about what we were seeing. He has great story telling abilities which definitely makes him a perfect tour guide to have! After the trip to the Taj, he invited us back to his textile shop for some tea then we made our way to the Handicraft Marble Industries where we were able to view and learn more about the art done in Agra that makes the Taj so special. This was one of my favorite parts! Farid then took us to a great Indian restaurant for lunch before heading off to Agra fort. The food was very good and Farid was flexible throughout the day with our schedule to make sure it was customized to what we wanted to do. At agra fort, we walked around and heard stories about the places we were seeing and imagined what it would have been like when it was built. Farid made the trip fun, by giving examples of what it used to be like and showing us things about the fort that we wouldn't have noticed on our own! Overall I would absolutely recommend Farid to anyone heading to Agra! His knowledge is rich and he was great at answering any questions we had. The trip would not have been nearly as meaningful or enjoyable without Farid being there. Thank you!
