When my family and I decided to spent our holidays to Sao Miguel, we wanted to experience the island fully so we contacted Jorge. This was such a great decision. Jorge gave us the full experience: gazing at amazing viewpoints, exploring natural water sources and diving in them, eating wild flowers, tasting local foods, drinking Kima and just having a good time. Jorge is a lot of fun and knows how to make children participate. My kids loved every hour we spent with him. He is quite the entertainer, he is also a very deep and caring guide and... a musician. What I loved the most: doing things I would never have dared to do without Jorge nudging us. My only regret is not to have arranged the boat trip (to see dolphins and whales) with Jorge as he used to be a watchman.  But hey, next time. Dont think twice, and dont miss out on an opportunity to discover both an island and a wonderful human being.

Making the booking was very simple and Jorge answered my questions quickly. Jorge also made some suggestions of what I should do in my 4 hour tour which most guides will not do and his recommendation was spot on.  We were picked up promptly at our hotel and the whole tour was so much fun that it felt like we were with a friend rather than with someone that we had just met. Our comfort and fun was a top priority and their pricing was very reasonable in comparison with other guides. Jorge also suggested a seafood restaurant near our hotel and then went ahead and made the reservation too.....we loved our meal. We highly recommend Jorge!

Jorge more than met our expectations as a local guide for Sao Miguel.  He wove together a series of perfect moments, adapted to our needs, and left us with fond memories and a wonderful experience.  His fun loving spirit and fondness for the island shone through in everything he shared with us.  It felt as though we were visiting an old friend in a new location rather than hiring a tour guide.  We could not imagine sharing our time on the island with anyone else.
