Armia was my tour guide for a trip that I took alone from Cairo to Luxor in March 2014. From the moment I landed at the Luxor airport until I left a few days later, Armia was professional and friendly. Since I was traveling alone and didn't speak the language, I really benefitted from his help negotiating prices (even at official tourist sites) and not having to worry about all of the minor details. We did all of the major things: Karnak, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, etc. He also took me around the city to see different neighborhoods, markets, churches and mosques, so I got to see a little bit of regular life in Luxor which was nice. He was really knowledgeable about the history of the ancient sites and I learned far more than I expected on such a short, touristy trip. I also appreciate that he took the time to explain a bit of modern history, like Egyptian politics and life in Luxor, all of these things were fascinating and I felt really informed and encouraged to learn more own my own. His English is nearly perfect and I had no trouble at all understanding. I was really touched that Armia was concerned about my safety and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable in Luxor, especially recommending specific restaurants. He is very polite and respectful, and will definitely go out of his way to make your trip to Luxor wonderful. Although I don't remember the exact price, it covered use of his car (for the tour and airport transfer) and the tour itself. It was a fair price and was well deserved as my trip would not have been nearly as memorable without Armia's expert guidance. If you can't tell already, I am so glad to have met him and would absolutely recommend him to anyone!
