Naun was our tour guide while we were in the Amazon-- a couple hours out from Puerto Maldonado, Peru. The experience we had at Refugio Amazonas with Naun as our leader/tour guide was indescribable. Even though we had early mornings, Naun always greeted us at breakfast with a smile on his face-- the daily tours were great! He went through great lengths to make sure we had the best experience and had the opportunity to see absolutely everything we could. His knowledge of wildlife (especially birds!) is amazing-- I have never met someone so passionate about what they do. If he was unable to answer a question or unsure, he always came back to us after some research with an answer. As we were 4, late 20s females from the US (and the other half of the group were 50+ British couples), Naun was very accommodating and patient with our group-- what more can one ask for. If I ever revisit or end up traveling to a place where Naun is able to be our tour guide-- I would definitely jump on the opportunity and recommend his tours to anyone!

My wife and I had a great visit to the Tambopata Macaw Research Station in Peru in 2014, and we spent several days on hikes and boat trips with Naun. He is an excellent guide, and he sees and hears everything around him. We have done similar work in Canadian national parks, and know what a good naturalist/guide should do, and Naun is a very good naturalist! We heartily recommend him!

Naun Amable Silva was my tour guide for two month in the amazon in Peru. It was always a pleasure to go on a jungle-walk with him. Walking in the jungle, it's obvious to see, that Naun was living in the jungle for years and knows i like his own wallet. Despite of his excellent bird spotting and identification skills, it was always impressive how he spotted mammals, snakes and other animals in the dense understory or canopy of the forest. Despite of teaching me everything about mist-netting and bird banding, i also learned a lot about the ecology of the rainforest and it's inhabitants. Therefore i can highly recommend Naun as a Tour Guide.

Naun was our guide in Puerto Maldonado in May 2014 and, thanks to him, our first rain forest adventure was an unforgettable one! Naun is a friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable guide. He is extremely passionate about birds and he made us realize that bird watching is an extremely cool hobby. Moreover, he has cool gadgets and great books! Naun speaks great English, he is well traveled and he's a pleasure to be around. Couldn't imagine a better guide, I highly recommend him!
