    • Pick up from airport/hotel in Delhi and drive to Agra for 3 hours via the Express Highway.

    • Enjoy shopping in Agra, known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. 

    • Learn about Empress Nur Jahan, who took a personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work.

    • Discover Agra's major handicraft products besides inlay work such as leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.

  • Day 2: Agra Fort, Taj Mahal & Mehtab Bagh expand_more

    • 8 am: Pick up from your hotel in Agra and visit the world-famous – Taj Mahal (A Unesco World Heritage Site) with the Indian tour guide. 

    • 10 am: Visit the imposing Agra Fort, a huge fort made of red sandstone and built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. The elegant buildings inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles. 

    • Discover the maze of the courtyards, mosques & private chambers of the fort that echos the story of the Mughal Empire.

    • 11 am: Enjoy a photo tour of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh. 

    • Explore this Moonlight Garden, believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on a moonlight night. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal. It is a huge square measuring approximately 300x300 m and in straight alignment with the Taj Mahal. The forestry plantations and agricultural fields provide a green forecourt to the Taj Mahal and its reflection on the Yamuna.

    • 1 pm: Have lunch at one of the best local AC restaurants.

    • 2 pm: Drive back to Delhi.

    • 5 pm: Arrive in Delhi and get dropped off at your hotel or airport.
