    • Start off by a visit to the Esplanade of the Mosques as it closes early for visitors.
    • See Muslim pilgrims resting and praying at the different "Mastaba" or prayer compounds, always with views of the glorious Dome of the Rock in the background, appearing between the trees and the ancient Mameluke arches.
    • Proceed to the Western Wall, the Holiest Shrine for Judaism, next to the esplanade of the mosques. The atmosphere of prayer and meditation next to the Wall is a source of inspiration.
    • Walk along El-Wad street, through the heart of the Muslim quarter. This is the main drag from Damascus gate, giving access both to the Western Wall and the Esplanade of the Mosques. Feverish human activity is always found there.
    • Reach the Via Dolorosa, along which Jesus carried the cross all the way to Golgotha. Groups of Christian pilgrims reenact the act daily, carrying heavy wooden crosses along the narrow lanes.
    • Walk the Via Dolorosa all the way to the church of the Holy Sepulcher. Here, prayers and ceremonies by the pilgrims and the clergy of different communities could keep us on our toes till night!
    • Make our way to the Mount of Olives after a short lunch break and visit the Chapel of the Ascension from where Jesus ascended to the sky in front of the Apostles. Pilgrims use this quiet and secluded spot for prayers and meditations around the ancient Crusader chapel.
    • Reach the Mount of Olives viewpoint with a fabulous vista onto the Old City. From there we will take a walk through the 3000 years old Jewish Cemetery (the oldest in the world), through a staggering array of ancient Jewish tombs on which orthodox Jews come to pay there respect.
    • We shall end our tour at the Dominus Flevit Chapel with yet another superb view of the Old City. Here Jesus sat and wept as he knew that the city's fate was to be destroyed.

Tour Reviews
  • Liliane

We hired Mr. Eitan Simanor as a tour guide twice during our trip in Israel, one day in Jerusalem and a couple of days in the North. He has proved to be clear and concise, yet widely knowledgeable. He gladly answered our countless questions, even those on the delicate issues. I would definitely recommend his services as a tour guide. Liliane

  • Edith

We hired Eitan for 10 unforgettable days in Israel. His knowledge of the Land of israel and the Middle East is bottomless! He has a fascinating way of linking the many locations we visited with stories from the scriptures, with more recent history or even with stories from his own experience. Thanks to a huge network of friends and relations, he was able to improvise fun activities in all parts of the country, always in tunes with our interests. We recommand Eitan and no other!
