Golden Routes Travel International was honoured as “International Travel Agent of the Year” for contribution to the International tourism, at an annual awards ceremony held at the British House of Commons on the 7th March 2019.
Mr Hiroyuki Niwa, Chairman and CEO of Toyota UK, presented the award to Mr Nithin Kozhuppakalam, CEO of the Golden Routes.
This year’s awardees included persons from different fields of activities. Among them, was Mr Sadiq Khan, as the politician of the year, Chairman of Leela Places & Resort Group, Mr Vivek Nair, as the international hotelier of the year, the Indian origin politician Mr Priti Patel, as the conservative member of parliament of the year.
The Rt. Hon. John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, graced the ceremony, as the Chief Guest. The annual Political and Public Life Awards are given by the prestigious and influential, UK publication “Asian Voice”, a weekly publication for the British Asian community. The awards are given annually to honour people who have made a special impact in the preceding twelve months, ranging from international politicians and individuals who make an impact in their local and global communities. Readers of the weekly “Asian Voice” newspaper nominates potential winners and an independent panel of judges comprising eminent personalities from different walks of life, select the final winners.
