Description

Experience the natural beauty of Cape Agulhas and Cape Town. Visit the famous Bredasdorp shipwreck museum and the tip of Africa where the two oceans (Atlantic and Indian) meet. Climb up the Cape Agulhas lighthouse along with driving through farming towns and tour an ancient farm, home to the largest natural freshwater lake in Southern Africa.

    This is the basic Hermanus Whale Tour but it includes the fishing villages of Arniston, Struisbaai and Cape Agulhas. 

    • Climb the lighthouse at the southern tip of Africa and see where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. 

    • Stay overnight on an old Cape Dutch farm, Zoetendalsvallei– the most southerly farm in Africa. It has been in the van Breda family since the 1700’s. This stop includes a tour around the farm and is home to the largest natural freshwater lake in Southern Africa.

    • Take a guided walk through the limestone fynbos, and a wonderful candlelit dinner in the farmhouse.

    • For those interested in hunting, Michael offers a chance to shoot wild Springbok, Spur-wing Geese and Guinea fowl. Prior arrangements need to be made and the price would be on request.

  • Day 2: Visit the Museum and Drive Through the Countryside expand_more
    • On the second morning, we head back to Cape Town via the farming town of Bredasdorp and stop in at the famous Shipwreck Museum. 

    • Then via Napier and Caledon, we meander slowly through agricultural land and back to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass.
