Great tour, entertaining, fun, educational and good singer

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the Voodoo and Cemetery tour. We accidentally got a private tour because no one else had booked that day, and he was fantastic! Randy was very knowledgable about the history of New Orleans, Voodoo,  cemeteries, etc and made it really interesting and a little edgy, making you feel like you were learning the history they don't teach you in textbooks and don't want you to know... Just don't put your dirty feet up on the walls while you are leaning against a building lol. Great tour and guide, highly recommend!! A++

  • Catherine

Randy is the absolute best and completely fabulous! I cannot endorse him highly enough. Our group had a fantastic experience. He was knowledgeable, charismatic, listened for questions and responded so well to how the group was reacting. So much fun!

  • Michelle

Randy was awesome! He is entertaining, holds your interest (including my 15 y/o son's), and knowledgeable. Lots of interesting facts and history. He even gave us some helpful tips about NOLA. Highly recommend him as a won't be disappointed.

  • Misty

Randy is handsdown the BEST guide I've ever had on a trip!  He's so knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and enjoys what he does.  Our group consisted of people from West Virginia, Idaho, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Georgia.  Thank you for teaching us, we had a blast!

  • Stacy

We had the best time in New Orleans and with Randy has our tour guide it was so much better than we could've expected! He knows his New Orleans history, he is funny as can be and he is very passionate about his job! We love you Randy!

  • Allan

Superb and fascinating. The youths website need work for ease of making and paying for reservations

We first met Randy when he led the tour of the French Quarter.  This year, we asked if he would do a special, private tour of the Faubourg Marigny district.  Once again, he didn't disappoint.  Some of his information was a review which greatly reinforced what we thought we already knew.  Other information was new.  In short, we love going with him and look forward to coming back next year.  Perhaps we should think about a tour of a cemetery or two!  Thank you for

First of all, let me say that if I could award Randy Bibb 100 STARS  I would! His honors and awards are well deserved! He is entertaining and very friendly and explained Mardi Gras without focusing on making the tour a pub crawl (I don’t drink) or having a “blast” in some kind of party atmosphere. I learned so much from him and I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans and tour with him again.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!   * * * * * The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the TourHQ system was inconvenient and confusing. The fact that I could not communicate with Randy before booking the tour was a problem. I mistakenly entered in only the date of my arrival and not the entire length of my visit, which was my fault. Randy was not available on the date I entered in. And before we were able to finally communicate and fix a new date, I was spammed by a different TourHQ tour guide in New Orleans who tried to take my business away from the guide I had requested! I did not like that at all. TourHQ is a great resource for travelers but their system could be a whole lot easier. I hope giving 4 stars instead of 5 doesn’t count against Randy. He deserves more but TourHQ needs work.

Randy IS New Orleans. Being a native with his family hailing back many generations, he is very passionate about the city and its rich history. He provided so much insight through fun anecdotes and sassy humor. We went on the tour of the Degas House with him, and now we want to go on all of his other tours when we return to New Orleans. Thank you Randy!!!

  • Stuart

This was my second private tour with Randy and it did not disappoint. There may be someone out there that knows more about New Orleans than Randy, but if they do, they couldn’t deliver the information in an engaged and interesting fashion as Randy. We talked about the history of food and wine in NO, learned about historic NO restaurants, and discussed the evolution of the city’s signature cocktails. As always, a fantastic walking tour of a city rich in history. Thanks again, Randy!

  • Grace

Randy was such a delight! So informative and full of insight! He led us all on a fascinating tour of NOLA bars and brothels (didn't actually go in the brothels). He sprinkled his tour with personal stories and had a great historical perspective. He really added to the delight of our NOLA experience. But, Randy, please post the recipe for the Oyster Loaf!! ;-)

Randy is an energetic and well informed storyteller. Being a local, he loves New Orleans and wants to tell her stories. He absolutely made our night and our trip.

  • Steve

Randy Bibb first and foremost is a man who cares about his city and the history that goes along with it.  That is important to know, Randy is not your guy if you are looking for someone to talk about American Horror Story or whatever bs haunting your hotel claims.  His tours are informative and entertaining, and I guarentee you will learn and laugh. We have been on a lot of walking tours around the world and too often you either learn or laugh, but seldom do you do both.  Randy may be one of those people born to be the life of the party, but he has clearly spent much of his life researching the history of New Orleans.  His personality together with his knowledge of history make for a great tour, but he is our favorite tour guide because he cares about where he is from.  He is sentimental about his city and people who have or do reside in it.  I fear that is something that too many of us have lost.

    Steve & Charlotte from Chicago.

We took the vodoo cemetry tour and the ghost tour.  Both were great, but we would recommend any tour he offers and hope to do others next spring.

  • Kit

and Randy led a fascinating and informative tour of the Degas House. He has a wonderful way of weaving history, legend and art all together for a most entertaining tour. Randy's electric personality had us all involved and immersed in the history he was presenting. I can't wait until my next visit to NOLA to take Randy's Garden District Tour.

  • Courtney

A passionate local who really knows his stuff - no better way to tour the garden district. We truly enjoyed our time with Randy. He’s a wonderful storyteller who really brings the sites to life. If you’re heading to NOLA, find time to tour with Randy. It was the highlight of our trip!

  • Candace

Randy knows his stuff! He showed us around the Degas home on Esplanade. What a fantastic, detailed time travel into the life and times of the impressionist and the story behind his short stay in New Orleans. Randy has a penchant for acting and bringing life to his stories. Being with Randy means learning and touring in a highly entertaining way. I know I would enjoy other tours with Randy around the Crescent City, and I plan to do so.

  • Trisha

Randy was a wonderful tour guide.  We were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of completing this tour with our group only.  He was able to adapt rather quickly to our needs.  Our son is fourteen and is easy to get restless, however Randy had him entertained till the end.  To this day it is still his favourite tour from New Orleans.  He loved that Randy was willing to go down and touch the Mississippi River with him.  Randy was lively and had many jokes to share with us throughout the tour, but was still able to teach us many things we did not know about New Orleans history and culture.

Randy is very passionate about New Orleans and he exudes this when giving the tour.  Randy was able to make me a believer of New Orleans.  I was not a super impressed person the morning we showed up for the tour, but by the end I really was able to see some of the wonderful things that makes New Orleans such a historical gem.

We would like to thank Randy for providing us with the best tour we had in New Orleans, keep up the amazing work!

  • Ashlee

We stumbled upon Randy by sheer accident. We had booked another tour online but when we arrived at that location the bartender informed us that they use their address fraudulently and if possible to get another tour company. We asked for a recommendation and he immediately told us about Randy. We gave him a quick text and he informed us it would just be us if that was okay. I mean could we get an luckier?! We arranged a meet up later that evening for a French quarter ghost tour and it was more than what we could have imagined. Randy’s enthusiasm for his city and everything historical significant made everything (including Randy) relate able and welcoming. I loved his passion and the tour we got. I will be contacting him again when I have other visitors coming into town whom want to do tours. You can’t go wrong with Randy and no doubt you will get one of the best tour guides in the city!

  • Catherine

Excellent story telling ability. We really liked that he had pictures and documentation. That really added to the prentation.  The stories told were not what I was expecting, which was fantastic.
