6 Hours History tour itinerary for New Orleans: Ride The Streetcar And Roam Along The Bayou
Ride up a streetcar on Canal Street where you will see beautiful architecture, well-landscaped parkways, followed by a visit to a Creole house and a stroll along the bayou past 18th century Creole plantation houses. Enjoy lunch at a beloved French restaurant followed by a visit to a famous New Orleans cemetery before heading back.
Meet your New Orleans tour guide on Canal Street at 10 am.
Board the Streetcar.
Arrive at Pitot House for the tour. (The Pitot House is closed Monday and Tuesday.)
Stroll along the bayou and enjoy lunch at Cafe Degas. (Lunch is not included in the pricing.)
After lunch, visit St. Louis Cemetery #3 and then board the streetcar and return to the French Quarter.
Streetcar passes (Valid for 24 hours and can be used to enjoy the St. Charles Streetcar as well.)
Admission to Pitot House. (Closed on Monday & Tuesday.)

Once we reach the bayou, the tour is an extensive walking tour - wear comfortable shoes.
While the streetcar, Cafe Degas, the cemetery and the 1st floor and gardens of the Pitot House are wheelchair accessible, the 2nd floor of the Pitot House is not accessible by wheelchair.
Allow 4 - 6 hours for the tour. This is one of the most spectacular and popular tours!
