You'll step into the residential section and encounter it's amazing arcitecture. You'll witness the rebirth of a city after devastation. And you'll travel to St. Roch Cemetery, the cemetery of miracles, a place few visitors have even heard about much less experienced! You will end at a distinctly local's place, The St. Roch Tavern, for local music, great food and cheap drinks!  This tour is a long walk but WORTH IT! Especially if you want to go home and tell your friends you saw a part of new orleans they didn't even know existed!

DAY 01

Day 1

Meet: Checkpoint Charlie's the famous local bar/laundromat from the film The Pelican Brief

Walk: the famous Frenchman Street hear its history and learn about the nightlife. Then enjoy the Faubourg Marigny and it's elegant homes and churches.

Rest: at the healing center and enjoy the food co-op, a coffee house and icy cold AC!

Walk: into the St. Roch neighborhood and witness the rebirth of a city after a massive tragedy. Continue to St. Roch Cemetery, The Cemetery of Miracles, and learn the REAL reason we "bury" above-ground. See the chapels. Ring the bell. Petition St. Roch's miraculous healing abilities.

End: at the St. Roch Tavern, a distinctly local's joint for restrooms, great food, and inexpensive cold beverages.

Stick around: for live local music!!!
