    Day 10 :

    Day 01 - Airport to Polonnaruwa

    • Meet and greet at the Airport
    • Take directly to ancient Polonnaruwa city.
    • En route, you can have lunch
    • Arrive at Polonnaruwa,
    • Another UNESCO world heritage site, according to the chronicles, during the 12th century a prince of great metal and physical vigour hailing from the Rohana (Southern part of Sri Lanka) forced his way to the throne of Sri Lanka as King Prakrama Bahu the great.     Day 02 - Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya

    • After Polonnaruwa take driving for about 45 minutes,
    • you can have lunch and we take you a 30-minute drive to Minneriya National Park.
    • Start the safari at 2: 30pm and take you on a safari tour 
    • Minneriya national park is located 182 km away from Colombo, in the North Central Plains of Sri Lanka. The major city closest to Minneriya National Park is Polonnaruwa. The recently renovated, the ancient Minneriya Rainwater Reservoir irrigates a considerable area of the district of Polonnaruwa and is the focal point of the Minneriya National Park. May to October is the best period to visit Minneriya National Park in view of the famous Gathering of the wild elephant herds. The gathering is documented as the largest known meeting place of Asian Elephants in the world. During the dry season of August to September each year, herds up to 300 elephants are seen within a few square kilometers of the vast Minneriya Reservoir. This Elephant Gathering is a thrilling spectacle that would be remembered for the rest of the life of all those who were fortunate enough to witness it. 24 species of mammals and over 170 species of birds have been recorded here and out Of the 25 species of reptiles recorded in the park 8 are endemic.
    • After the safari, we take you to Sigiriya

    Day 03 - Sigiriya to Kandy

    • In the morning after breakfast
    • We take you on a 2-hour hiking tour to explore the ancient sites of Sigiriya.
    • On top of the rock, we will have a great view of the surroundings.
    • Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. Sigiriya, also called Lion Rock Situated in central Sri Lanka consisting of the ruins of an ancient stronghold that was built in the late 5th century on a remarkable monolithic rock pillar. Sigiriya was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1982. The rock, which is so steep that its top overhangs the sides, rises to an elevation of 1,144 feet above sea level and is some 600 feet above the surrounding plain. The Sinhalese king Kashyapa built a palace in the shape of a monumental lion on the several acres of ground at the summit, intending it to be a safeguard against his enemies.  
    • You can have lunch after trekking.
    • After lunch in Sigiriya, we take you a 45-minute drive to Dambulla Cave Temple.
    • Dambulla cave temple is also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site(1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings.
    • After Dambulla 1.5 hour drive you will be able to see Sri Muthumariamman Temple, in Matale.
    • Then Finally, you'll be taken a 1-hour drive to Kandy,

    Day 04 - Kandy to Adam’s Peak.

    • In the morning after breakfast

    • After we take you to Kandy’s second most popular attraction, the Royal Botanical Gardens.
    • The garden is famous for its countless (4000+) species of plants and trees. It is situated a 15-minute drive west of Kandy, and is a great escape from the city, Royal Botanic Gardens attracts around two million visitors annually. The garden includes more than 4,000 species of plants, including spices and palm trees. 
    • After lunch. We take you a 2-hour walking tour around Kandy town.
    • Finally, we take you a drive to Adam’s Peak.
    • En route, we pass through the breathtaking tea plantations surrounding the district of Nuwara Eliya
    • Nuwara Eliya is home to arguably the greatest landscape in the country. The tea plantations in the countryside are absolutely gorgeous to look at

    Day 05 - Adam’s Peak to Ella

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Starts the day with a hike up Adam’s Peak.
    • It is a 2,243 meter (7,359 feet) tall conical mountain located in the center of the country. Seeing from atop the sunrise and the surroundings, this is a hiker’s fantasy. Note that views from above the mountain may be obstructed due to fog. There really isn’t much that can be done about it. Hopefully, it will be a clear morning.
    • Adam’s Peak (Sri Pada) is also known as the “butterfly mountain”. At an elevation of 2,243 meters (7,359 ft) it is a stunning tall conical mountain. In the Buddhist tradition, it is held to be the footprint of the Buddha. There is probably no mountain anywhere more famous than Adam’s Peak for reasons that are cultural and spiritual. The climb takes approximately three and a half hours and the trail is flanked by the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary one of Sri Lanka’s highest protected forest reserves. Views from the top are stunning, especially early morning as the warmth of dawn lights up the country in an endless vista of forests, valleys, mountains, and lakes. The season to climb is from December to April where pilgrims begin their climb shortly after midnight in order to summit at sunrise. Year-round climbs during the day are possible, although sporadic rainy weather and mist are to be expected.
    • After the hike, return to the hotel and check out.
    • We then take you to Nuwara Eliya.
    • Then, we'll have lunch.
    • Next for today is a visit to a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya. It is called Damro Labookellie Tea Center and Tea Garden. The guided tour there. Lastly for the day, we take you 2-hour drive to the town of Ella.

    Day 06 - Ella to Yala

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Today starts with a 20-minute drive to Ravana Falls.
    • These falls measure approximately 25 meters (82 feet) in height, featuring water falling from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. Its cave lies 1,370 meters (4,490 feet) above sea level on the foundation of a cliff. Excavations undertaken in the cave uncovered evidence of human habitation dating back 25,000 years.
    • There you are to be provided with a 45-minute guided tour.
    • Next via a 15-minute drive is Ravana Cave Temple.
    • We will provide you with another 45-minute guided tour.

    Day 07 - Yala to Hikkaduwa

    • Starts with an early-morning, 4-hour Jeep safari at Yala National Park.
    • Yala is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is best known for its variety of wild animals, such as elephants, leopards, and aquatic birds. After the tour On the way, you can have breakfast
    • After the safari, we drive you to Tangalle.
    • There you can have lunch.
    • Drive away from Tangalle is the town of Weligama, home to the tradition of stilt fishing. 30 minutes is a good amount of time there.
    • Next is a 45-minute drive to the somewhat colonial city of Galle. Galle has a handful of worth-seeing monuments built during European colonization, such as its fort. The guided tour in Galle takes about 1 hour. Lastly for today is a 45-minute drive to Hikkaduwa.

    Day 08 - Hikkaduwa

    Day 09 - Hikkaduwa to Colombo
