Description
We will begin our immersive online experience from the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). This 500 years old temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya River was built in the time of Thonburi Kingdom. Take in magnificent views of the Phra Prang Wat Arun as I tell you more about its history and significance.
We will then board a ferry across the Chao Praya river and then pedal on a little bicycle through the local market to Temple of Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho). Here, you will learn how it became the first University of Thailand, and for the showdown, we will enter the house of the great reclining Buddha. We will end our tour with a little chat and I will attempt to answer all your questions.

Meet your Host
Chin
I have been living in Bangkok for the past 40 years. I am a licensed tour guide, and I have been assisting people in interacting with local communities along Chaopraya river for 4 years.
It is compulsory for Thai students to learn about Buddhism, and we are taught about it in the school itself. Though the way it was taught made me lose interest in the subject. It was when I grew up and had the opportunity to be a monk and learn from the best teacher in tour guiding is when I realized the importance of the teachings of Buddha, our art, heritage and culture. Today, I am proud to have learned the principles and feel honoured to teach them to people I meet.
