The Palau de la Música is a bastion of Catalonian culture and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1997. The building was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner and not Gaudi, but is just as fanciful and rich. The architectural masterpiece uses natural light to illuminate the interior stained glass and mosaics.
