Calligraphy has a very important role to play in Chinese traditional art. It was considered to be a physical as well as a mental exercise that required control of breath and posture. This session will start with a briefing about the history of Calligraphy in China. While practising, you will focus on the basic strokes and forms of written Chinese characters with an emphasis on the techniques, methods, and practice of brush writing. You will learn to focus on the movement of the brush. After the session, you can take your artwork with you.
