See the Famous Icons of Rome

The Online experience will bring you into the city discovering the hidden gems together with the iconical places such as the Trevi Fountain! Moreover, the guide will explain you the city from the point of view of a local and we will discuss roman habits and (un)usual facts. Are you excited? We begin in front of the Quirinal Palace, the residence of the President of our Republic today but built in the XVI century as the summer palace for the Pope! Then we move for the Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous monuments of Rome, celebrated by artists as much as by the movies, such as “Roman Holiday”, but we will discover funny stories regarding its construction and more. Next stop is Spanish Steps, another icon of the city: the staircase is not only a perfect example of the art style of XVII century but is is also considered the “living room” from the locals. Why? We will discover it together! We continue exploring the city in the small but awesome street called Via Margutta, dedicated to the artists, where still today you can breathe the atmosphere of authentic Rome. Last stop for an impressive ending is the Piazza del Popolo, the square dedicated to the people but… definitely designed to be the spectacular entrance to the city for all the visitors and foreigners who arrived from North Europe! This was the first sight of Goethe and many other travellers of the Grand Tour! So, we finish where travellers started, meeting on the way protagonists of the past and visiting the city as you lived here, I promise! See you soon!

We will start in front of the Quirinal Palace, which was built in the XVIth century as the Summer Palace for the Pope; today it serves as the residence of the President. Then we move on to the famous Trevi Fountain, a monument that is celebrated by artists and movies alike, and I will tell you funny stories about its construction and other aspects. The next stop is at the Spanish Steps, a staircase that is not only a perfect example of the art style of XVIII century but is is also considered the “living room” from the locals. Why? We will discover it together!

We continue exploring the city through the small but awesome street dedicated to artists called Via Margutta, a place where you can breathe in the atmosphere of authentic Rome. Our last stop is one that promises an impressive ending. We will finish at the Piazza del Popolo, a square dedicated to the people but definitely designed as a spectacular entrance to the city for all the visitors who arrived from North Europe!

Throughout the experience, you will get to know about the enigmatic characters of Rome who had put their blood, sweat, and tears to take Rome above and beyond everything else when it came to art, expression, and romanticism.

Our guide was very enthusiastic, gave us a longer tour than was scheduled, and seemed to know a lot about the area, but we couldn’t understand most of what was said so missed a lot of information.
