Join me for a tour of the most famous university in Berlin and walk past the most important campus buildings embodied within the city in general. We will talk about student life, explore fun facts about the faculties, and gain an introduction to all courses and opportunities available to set you up for the next step in getting into Humboldt University. I will also introduce you to life in this very multicultural city and show you how to spend your time in this university, which is undoubtedly one of Germany's leading higher educational institutions.
The campus tour will start at the Grimm Library. We will cover all the area surrounding Humboldt University, passing through highly iconic places for university life such as Universitätstraße, Bebelplatz, the School of Business and Economics, Lustgarten, Friedrichsbrücke and Monbijoupark. Through fun trivia, you will learn relevant details about the university and the city:
- How big is Berlin?
- When was the university first founded?
- What was the university´s original name?
- How many Nobel Prize winners have been associated with the university?
These and many more questions and doubts regarding this university will be answered on this campus tour.

Dr Thomas James
I am one of several professional guides from Humboldt Tours Berlin that are available to take you around the Humboldt campus located in the heart of Berlin.
As an archaeologist who completed a PhD thesis that included artifacts from the Pergamon Museum and has done subsequent research utilizing Humboldt’s excellent facilities in Mitte, I personally enjoy wandering around the historical city center while thinking of the diverse selection of people who have done the same throughout the past few centuries.
