Description

Ride in a comfortable 4WD vehicle with the environmental scientist guide. You will see three different habitats near Byron Bay. You will visit the eucalyptus forest, rainforest and grassland to discover the animals that live there. Catch sight of see koalas, kangaroos, flying foxes and many species of birds. If the conditions are favourable, then you may also get to see pademelon, echidna, tawny frogmouth and water dragons. Then, you will go for a picnic and have some locally sourced goodness. You will get to learn the difference between a kangaroo and wallaby, or a grey-headed flying fox and a black one. Along the way, you will also spot the abundant birdlife like hens, ducks and waders, noisy colourful parrots, iconic kookaburra, magpies, currawong, tiny flitting wrens and robins.
