Description
This real-time, live walking tour will start at the cathedral of St. Stefano, a baroque style church built in the late 1600s, from where we will walk through the ancient streets in the centre of the city, from the medieval atmosphere of the courtyards to the luxurious stores in the shopping area.
Strolling along the Kohlmarkt, you will get beautiful views of the Imperial Palace. The next stop on this experience will be Am Hof, the biggest square in the city where you will see many palaces, churches, and the firefighters' quarter. Then, at the Jewish Quarter, you will learn about the history of the Jews in Vienna. You will see Fernstel Passage, a commercial complex built in the 1800s. The tour will end at the cathedral of Francis Monks, one of the few gothic churches in the city.
While walking around, I will also narrate the history of Austria during the Nazi regime and World War II. This tour will be a perfect introduction to the city, a great idea for those who would like to visit Vienna in the future.
