Description

Bologna is famous worldwide for its art, culture and heritage. It is home to the first European university and the hometown of many world-known artists, writers, musicians, and scientists. It is also renowned for its food tradition - you must have heard about our bolognese sauce and traditional lasagna. But Bologna also has many secrets...fancy knowing some of them?

Join me on this Online Experience, and we will head out under the vast blue Bolognese skies to explore the Piazza Maggiore, its monuments, and surrounding buildings. We will visit the Palazzo d'Accursio and our City Hall, explore King Enzo's Palace, admire Neptune's Fountain and square, walk around Saint Petronio's Church, and marvel at the Archiginnasio library. We will then make our way to the symbol of Bologna, the Two Towers, and here I will regale you with some interesting trivia.

We will then make our way to the old Jewish Ghetto of the city, a hidden gem where you will learn about city life in the Middle Ages. As we walk around, I will tell you more about what happened to Bologna's Jewish community, the function of the porticoes, how many towers were standing in Bologna and why, and many more topics sure to enthral and enrich your experience of this area.

For the final part of our tour, we will head to the canals, where I will have a surprise waiting for you! Curious? Join me to find out!

Isadora Liquori was born and raised in Bologna (although I had spent a few years off in the UK). She knows every inch of her town and how tricky it can be to find a good balance between traditional sightseeing and visiting her hidden gems. After working for several years, She knows all the secret spells to create an "experience". Now it's time to take you through it! She will use her passion to show you what her beautiful city has to offer more unconventionally. As a licensed local guide, she has access to all landmarks.

Sacha LanteriI has been a licensed tour guide since 2017. She has always been passionate about travelling, art, languages, and cultures. That's the reason why she has studied foreign languages and the history of art. After her Bachelor's degree in cultural heritage in Venice, She moved to Bologna, where she got her Master's degree in History of Art. That's when she decided to turn her main interests into her job and became an Emilia-Romagna tour guide.

Her idea of a tour is to get you in touch with this land's local spirit and culture. She will share with you the history and the artistic heritage of this beautiful city, as well as its typical laid-back lifestyle, without forgetting the amazing gastronomic tradition. She looks forward to meeting you!

Francesco Antonelli has been a licensed Tour Guide of the Emilia Romagna Region since 2015, and recently she has also become a Tour Leader. She provides cultural and artistic tours in the most famous city of her region Emilia Romagna, as well as food and wine tasting experiences (She is also a wine taster and a food storyteller).
Over the years, she has cultivated many interests. She has collected Vespa scooters and a vintage Fiat 500 and has worked in the restaurant and hospitality sector. All these interests have come together in her job as a tourist guide and the art of storytelling. She has published two food and wine-themed travel books that have been nationally distributed and she continues to showcase my territory with dedication and passion from many points of view.
