Description
Join me for a live-streamed interactive online tour of Venice, beginning at the famous St. Mark's Square. I will show you the most iconic monuments such as St. Mark's Basilica and the Doges' Palace taking into consideration some details that most of the travellers do not normally notice. I will also tell you about the stonemasons, the glass producers and the other artisans that worked in the past to create such majestic works of art.
Then we will take a walk along the narrow alleys to see some unusual hidden corners of Venice, paying attention in particular to everyday life, how it was in the past and how it is today. I will show you some workshops where skilled artisans produce Murano glass, marbled paper, carnival and theatre costumes and the famous papier-maché Venetian masks. Rest assured that this tour will help you explore Venice in a totally different way!

I have been working as a professional tourist guide in Venice and the Venetian mainland since 1997. I am registered in the Regional list of Tourist Guides. I have studied at a Scientific High School and afterwards, pursued my Master's in Foreign Languages and Literatures (Russian and English) at the Venetian University "Ca' Foscari". During university and in the following years, I travelled quite frequently, spending a long time in the United States, Russia, also taking the chance to visit Great Britain several times.
Travelling for me has always been very important, it has helped me get in touch with a lot of people, and learn about cultures which are different from mine. A city like Venice offers the opportunity to travel through the history of its beautiful places and learn about its outstanding citizens of the past and the present.
