Description
This live-streamed online experience will introduce you to the 500 year old Ottoman monuments and bazaars that still stand in their full glory in modern-day Bursa.
We will visit the Ulucamii, built-in 1399 as the first Grand Mosque of the Ottoman dynasty, and widely accepted as the fifth most important Islamic structure in the world. Then we will walk through the Bazaar complexes and visit the world-famous silk market of Bursa, the Koza Han! The late 15th-century structure was built to sponsor a charity foundation in Istanbul patronised by Ottoman Sultan Beyazid the II. By the way, Queen Elizabeth II also visited the market in 2008; the silk is royally famous!
Before we finish off, your guide will introduce you to street foods and sweet delights of Bursa; ever tried a caramelised chestnut before?
