Description

Ride a local train on the outskirts of Bangkok city. Explore the bustling seafood market at Machchi, observe traders clearing their goods when the train approaches Mae Klong Railway Market and see the Bang Kung temple near a locked building that houses the Golden Buddha.

    • 07:00 -07:15 hours - Meet your Thai guide and driver at the hotel lobby. Transfer to Wongwian Yai railway station, passing by the King Taksin Monument, the Former Great King. 
    • 08:00 - 08:35 hours - Arrive at Wongwian Yai railway station any ride a local train to Mahachi. If time allows, visit a morning market. Then board a train at 08:35 hrs (train riding approx. 60 minutes). On the way, see the big buildings of Bangkok.
    • 09:35 hours - The train comes to a stop at Mahachi Train Station, located in Samut Sakhon province. The station is in the middle of a huge market. See all the vendors here who have come to sell their fresh seafood such as Squids, Sea-basses, Red Snapper, Mussels, Cockles, and various vegetables and fruits. Visit a Chinese Shrine located in the same area. Hop in our minivan and heading towards Mae Klong Railway Market, a unique characteristic market. 
    • 10:50 hours - Mae Klong Railway Market in Samut Songkham province is located by the railway track. Before the train reaches the station, all the vendors will rush to close their parasols and canvas and clear all goods that will obstruct the coming train at a great speed. Once the train passes, parasols and canvas will be reopened as goods are again put into their usual place next to the railroad. Enjoy seeing various vegetables and fresh fruits.
    • 12:00 hours - Lunch at a local restaurant.
    • 13:00 hours - After lunch, drive to see the Bang Kung Temple, which was built during the Ayutthaya period. It was once a navy campsite during the reign of King Taksin the Great. Bang Kung temple was abandoned almost 200 years ago till it was restored, and a shrine was built to memorialize King Taksin the Great’s achievements. 
    • 14:00 hours - Visit the Noo-Jo Art Farm, where a couple has adopted and modified the land as a local learning center of mixed agriculture and produces art in their own style. You can also participate in a workshop here. Keep it as a souvenir. Then, freshen up with local coffee at a gallery until it is to head back to Bangkok.
    • 17:00 hours - Arrive in Bangkok and drop off at your hotel.
