Day 1: Visit Kaolack Central and Check-in at Keur Saloum expand_more
Get a pick-up from your hotel early morning. Meet your local tour guide and drive towards Fathala Wildlife Reserve.
Explore the country's most beauty market: Kaolack Central. See Africa with its colours and uniqueness. Strolling through the narrow alleys of the market, you will see the amulets maker and the shoemakers workshops and many local products typical of Africa.
Take a boat ride on the Saloum River and enjoy the sublime beauty of this classified world heritage site.
Pass through the vast mangrove, where you can see some oysters. If you are a birdwatching lover, take advantage of this boat ride and click pictures of beautiful and unique birds.
Head to Shells island, where you will have a panoramic view of the area.
To complete the tour, go to the bird's islet, where you will wait for the birds to come back for a quiet night. Witness the scene of unbelievable beauty as they come back in big numbers to land on their islet.
