Take a 45 minutes car drive to the Senegalese version of the Dead-Sea: the Pink Lake. The Lake acquired world fame thanks to its color as well as the annual Paris-Dakar Rally. An important center of cooking salt collection, the pink lake (Retba) is one of the most visited places in Senegal. It owes its color to a high concentration of minerals and the presence of tiny micro-organisms.The color changes because of the intensity of sun rays.
Later, visit Fulani village, home to the second largest ethnic group in Senegal.
