Route: Ljubljana - Skocjan Caves or Postojna caves - (Karst region) - Hrastovlje - Portoroz - Piran - Ljubljana.
Visit the Karst region for its Škocjan Caves which have no comparison in the world (optional) - protected as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Go to the tiny Hrastovlje village to see the Romanesque Church of the Holy Trinity. The major attraction here is the narrative frescoes of “Dance of Death”.
The next stop is a local guesthouse where you will try out Slovenian prosciutto & Teran wine tasting (optional).
Then enjoy a pleasant drive on the Slovenian seaside.
Visit Portorož, Slovenia's most popular coastal resort and everyone's favourite town at the old picturesque Piran.
After lunch at one of the numerous fresh fish restaurants, we will have enough time for swimming in the warm Adriatic Sea or else go to explore the medieval streets and squares of Piran.

Good to know: Don't worry, you won’t go hungry. You will be offered prsut (air dried-ham) and olives - typical Karst food and on top of that you will indulge in ruby-red wine called Teran. :)
You will need : Comfortable shoes, warm clothes for caves, a towel and swimsuit - if you don't have it with you, don't bother to buy it, you can go skinny dipping. :)
