1 Day Culture tour itinerary for Ljubljana & Venice: Take A Day Trip Floating City By Catamaran
Have the experience of a lifetime with a visit to the most romantic city in the world by a catamaran. See the St Mark’s Square surrounded by Saint Mark’s Basilica, the mighty Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge, a Murano glass factory workshop, topping it off with a Gondola ride, Italian Pizza and Cappuccino.
Route: Ljubljana - Izola (Slovene coast) - Venice - Izola - Ljubljana.
Start at 6 am from your accommodation at Ljubljana for a pleasant drive through the Slovenian seaside.
Then board the catamaran, the Prince of Venice, a 39-meter catamaran that runs between the Slovene coast and Venice. It cruises at 29 knots per hour and has seating for 303 passengers, reaching Venice in two hours
Take a guided tour through the streets of the “floating city”. You will start at St Mark’s Square, the most impressive square in the world, surrounded by Saint Mark’s Basilica, the mighty Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge as well as a Murano glass factory workshop.
Spend some free time for yourself. You may stroll through the picturesque streets passing by thousands of little shops with merchandise for every taste or take a ride by Gondola listening to the echoes of gondoliers romantic songs. You can try a real Italian pizza and cappuccino as well!
By late afternoon, board the catamaran again and return to the Slovenian coast by 10 pm, where your driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your place of accommodation in Ljubljana.

In summertime every Saturday, there is a trip to Venice, Italy. So you need to sign up for the Day trip at least 2 days in advance, latest by Friday morning.
Each participant is obliged to state his/her full name, place of residence and name of your accommodation in Ljubljana by reservation.

People can cross the canals by many small bridges and they can also be taken for rides along the canals in a typical boat called Gondola. The buildings in Venice are very old and attractive, and tourists come from all over the world to see them.
