Highlights
  • Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Carpathian Mountains
  • Visit Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle
  • Marvel at a fairytale-like castle hidden in the mountains, Peles Castle
  • Explore Brasov, one of the most beautiful Romanian medieval cities
  • Bucharest to Brasov Trip expand_more
    • Starting in the morning from Bucharest, head north towards Prahova Valley and further into Transylvania, the Brasov County. It is a road that many Bucharestians use to head for the closest mountain retreats where they can spend their weekends or even relaxing vacations. But this road will take us to the Crown Jewel of our mountains; a diamond is hidden in plain sight which delights those that know where to find it.

    • Visit the charming Peles Castle, the Royal Family Summer Residence which has been opened up to the public and gives you a sense of the true nobility of the heart and the mind because it is a work of love between King Carol I-st of Romania and Queen Elizabeth of Romania. It is yours to discover and also 2 smaller ones keep it company, Pelisor, and Foisor found close by.

    • Head through the Carpathian Mountains for the world-renowned and top attraction of Romania, The Bran Castle. We have to thank Bram Stoker for making this Guardian of Transylvania the star attraction for everyone coming to Romania because Dracula's story has sent ripples of interest over time and has put Romania on the map of international tourism. We take pride in it because it shows we have a history much more elaborate than most people think, it stands as proof of our troubled past and the trials and tribulations that our ancestors endured.

    • Leaving Bran, we pass by another Guardian that protected the people in times of war and attacks, the Peasants’ Fortress or Rasnov Fortress by the name of the town it looks down to. It is impressive and has been renovated with more restoration work undergoing.

    • Follow the road that takes us through small Transylvanian towns that still tell us of their previous patronage of Saxon origin.

    • Arrive in the busy City of the Crown (Kronstadt) Brasov, one of the Seven Cities of Transylvania (Siebenburgen). This rich city both historically and culturally stands proof of continuous rebirth and development from its’ first settlers all the way to these modern times we live in. It is a canvas that has been started many centuries ago (actually millennia) and continues to add new layers enriching both locals and guests. The guide will mention 3 key elements: The Black Church, Saint Nicholas Church, and The City Council. Much more await your curiosity like Catherine’s Gate, The Synagogue of Brasov, The City Council Square, Rope Street, Black Tower and The Schei Gate.

    • As with every grand adventure, we must come to an end, leaving the beautiful castles, mountains, delightful cuisine and people behind and head back to Bucharest. Truly a day to cherish for you have been to the heart of Dracula’s lair; you’ve visited the Royal Eagle’s Nest and joined the people of Brasov in discovering their incredible city.
