Day 1: Bucharest - Curtea de Arges expand_more
- You will be picked up from the airport in Bucharest by your tour guide. Head towards Curtea de Arges where you will visit the strongholds of the former princely court, rebuilt in the 14th century. The church, and its frescoed interiors, are one of the first examples of Romanian religious paintings.
- Visit the Poenari Castle which stands on a cliff, also known as the real castle of 'Vlad the Impaler'.
- Climb 1400 steps to the top of the Citadel to witness areas that collapsed in the year 1888.

Day 2: Towards Transylvania expand_more
Post-breakfast, continue your journey to the middle ages from the narrow path of Olt River at Cozia Monastery. Witness the amazing scenery of Sibiu (Hermannstadt), the cultural capital of Siebenburgen and the 'European Cultural Capital' of 2007.
Visit landmarks for the Middle Ages like the Large Square, the Evangelic Church, and the Liar’s Bridge.

Day 3: Meet the Teutonic Knights expand_more
Post-breakfast, head towards the Fagaras Mountains, the Alps of Transylvania and make a stop at Carta to see the Kerz Church.
Following the Olt River upstream, reach Fagaras town which was built in the 15th century by princes that ruled Transylvania.
Passing through Saxon villages, reach Codlea and visit the fortress here which has been preserved for centuries, built by the craftsmen of several guilds starting from 1432. It is interesting to note that the church has no steeple.
Visit the Bran Castle, also known as Dracula Castle.
Visit the main highlights of Brasov such as the Council Square, the Black Church, Ecaterina’s Gate, the Rope’s Street and the Weaver’s bastion.

Day 4: Brasov - Bucharest expand_more
Post-breakfast, head south towards the Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the royal family. This Neo-Renaissance Palace is placed in an idyllic setting in the Carpathian Mountains.

Independent Wallachia has been on the border of the Ottoman Empire since the 14th century and slowly fell under the suzerainty of the Ottoman Empire during the 15th century. One famous ruler in this period was Vlad III the Impaler (also known as Vlad Draculea)
