We were a group of 4 friends looking for an active vacation in the Sacred Valley of Peru. You can't go wrong with Edwin! He has a great sense of humor, and an encyclopedia's worth of knowledge of the history and folklore of the region. He also took the time to give us great recommendations for local restaurants and introduced us to local snacks and specialties that made our trip all the more memorable.  I also deeply appreciate his punctuality and preparation.  It made the trip so smooth and we didn't have to worry about anything except taking in the breathtaking views.

Edwin was absolutely wonderful! My boyfriend and I could not have asked for a better tour guide to show us around Cusco and the area's surrounding ruins. Edwin was extremely knowlegable on both the history of Cusco and the Incan empire. But more importantly, Edwin was personable and lovely to spend time with - it felt like we were exploring the city with an old friend rather than a tour guide. I would HIGHLY recommend Edwin to anyone visiting Cusco! I couldn't imagine our trip being the same without him!

Edwin covered it all. My husband has waited for 50 years to go to Peru. Specifically Machu Pichu. Yes, we are that old (in our 70's). Truly the trip of a life time thanks to Edwin. Edwin handled all the tickets and arrangements from our arrival in Arequipa to our departure from Cuzco 15 days later. We were in excellent hands. We had full days that were planned to give us the best views, historical sites, and city events with the "least" amount of other tourists. We actually were able to get pictures of Machu Pichu without people. Edwin was flexible and customized the tour to fulfil our interests and abilities. We are not very big shoppers. But, we are big into people, history, religion, art and culture. We managed to join a local wedding and a local political campaign. See the regional clothes and hats. Learn how salt is collected. Learn how to build an island in Lake Titicaca. Try many new foods. See animals in the wild (not in the zoo). Made a successful offering to a smoking volcano for good weather. Celebrated the anniversary of Machu Pichu (very special event). Lots of physical activity for us each day ('cause we can). Heard many personal stories from Edwin about his family and growing up in Peru. How Peru has changed and is continuing to change. We have traveled to many continents and countries. We have used tours by locals for many of those trips. If you would like more specific information Edwin can provide my contact information. We can honestly say that Edwin ranked #1 with us and your trip would be much better with Edwin in charge (even if you like shopping). TRY IT ALL!!!

We hired Edwin for Machu Picchu and later again for the salt ponds, Moray, and Chinchero.  He was excellent in both tours.  Edwin is a walking history book,  with an excellent command of the English  language.  You can’t go wrong hiring Edwin as a guide.  He will go at your pace, which being 74, mine was slow.

The whole preparation was excellent! Edwin was very helpful before we got to Cusco, on time to pick us up and very knowledgable during the tour. He took good care of us and a change of the schedule on the fly was no problem due to his flexibility. All our questions were answered. I can fully recommend him to everyone! He has a very friendly and open personality, simply a nice guy.

We booked with Edwin because he was a top rated guide. The morning of our tour, a different person showed up and said Edwin couldn’t make it, so he would be our guide.  What were we to do since we’d come halfway across the world to tour and understand Machu Pichu?!  The substitute guide was fine, but we felt we were duped by the old “bait and switch.”

Edwin Cusi was phenomenal!  His energy, positivity, and knowledge made this hike such an adventure.   His team made sure we were all well taken care of while still feeling the independent challenge of the experience.  It was the perfect balance.  This hike felt like the Inca story was revealing itself before our eyes, all in a culmination of hiking thru the Sun Gate and arriving at Macchu Picchu.  It felt like we knew things that the tourists arriving by bus at the site would never know.  Such a special experience.  Check a "big one" off the bucket list. Thank you, Edwin!

We had the 1 day Inca Trail tour with Edwin Cusi and I was very pleased with his service. Edwin was very professional and considered of us. He ensured to adjust the speed based on our strengths and made sure no one fell behind. In our group of four, I was the weakest link so Edwin made sure that I was ok through-out the day. He actually carried my backpack for a long portion of the trail. Edwin is very knowledgeable about the trail and the Inca history. He shared a great deal of information with us and I could tell that he really cares about his work and customers. I would highly recommend Wayki Trek and Edwin Cusi for sure.

Edwin is a truly great guide - he has not just the history knowledge about Incas and the sights, but also general knowledge about Peru - every question I had (and believe me, I ask many questions!) he answered with patience, expertise and smile. With his excellent guidance, he made our trip and Inca trail unforgettable experience!
