2-day Trek Tour At Misti Volcano
Description
Climb Misti, a stratovolcano of andesite, dacite and rhyolite located in southern Peru near the city of Arequipa. With its seasonally snow-capped, symmetrical cone, Misti stands at 5,822 metres above sea level and lies between mount Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcano. Explore its landscape and marvel at its surroundings.

Day 1 : Arequipa to Misti expand_more
Pick up from hotel in Arequipa city at 8:00 am.
Drive to Misti, approximately one hour from the last part of Arequipa.
Start the trek to reach the first camp or pyramid camp, which is called so because of some rocks' shape. The camp is over 4500, height above sea level. Marvel at flora and fauna in the area, such as the hummingbird, insects like the mountain fly, and more.
Have dinner cooked by the guide and stay overnight in a camping tent.

Day 2 : Misti to Arequipa expand_more
Start trek early in the morning and reach the summit of the volcano.
Cross rocky landscapes and reach the rocky arc, the point from the altitude at over 5000 height above sea level.
Reach the crossroad that will take you to the crater or the cross. If you decide to go to the cross, it is a 45-minute extra climb, and the route is quite steep. However, it is also the nicest part of the landscape.
Arrive at the top of the cross that Jesuit Francicians brought in 1900.
After 2 hours of climbing down, return to the camp.
Drive to Arequipa.
Drop-off to the hotel.
